ANZAC Day Assembly honours the significant role of women

26 April 2019

Every year Fintona commemorates ANZAC Day with an assembly in which we remember the commitment and sacrifices of our servicemen and women.

This year was no exception and the ceremony focused on the significant role of women both in the services and on the home front. Our School Consuls ran the Assembly which also involved a selection of Year 10 history students. Kara Whitbourn played The Last Post and Reveille and Principal Ms Falloon recited For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon. The students sang the National Anthem and observed a minute’s silence.
