ANZAC commemorative planting

24 April 2016
On Friday 24 April, our Principal Suzy Chandler and Year 12 student Aisling Monahan- Dowling were joined by Rotary Club of Camberwell President, Richard Stewart, and the Hon. Josh Frydenberg MP to unveil a commemorative plaque and plant the Lone Pine in a special place in Fintona's garden.

The planting was part of the Rotary Club of Camberwell's 'Seeds of Peace' program, funded by the ANZAC Centenary Local Grants Program.

A special ANZAC assembly was organised by Fintona students, where the girls recited verses from David Metzenthen’s One Minute’s Silence.

Fintona's commemoration of 100 years since thousands of Australian soldiers sacrificed their lives in defence of our values and beliefs was a touching tribute
